Buckhorn State Park

Welcome!

  • The park is open year-round from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Concessions and rental equipment: 

  • Canoe and kayak rentals are available in season from the Friends of Buckhorn State Park. Contact the park office for more information.

Activities and Recreation:

  • The 1600-acre Buckhorn Wildlife Area and the 2,200-acre Yellow River Wildlife Area next to Buckhorn State Park offers many additional recreation opportunities, including different hunting seasons and access to the Castle Rock Flowage.
  • Hiking, Camping, Pets allowed on a leash with restrictions (see website), Picnic Areas, Swimming, Boating, Fishing, Hunting, Canoeing, Kayaking, and Winter activities (see website for canoe trails, hunting maps, ice fishing, etc.)
  • Nature Program or Event
  • Hunting classes
  • Reservable shelters

Fees

  • Vehicle admission sticker is required: include admission sticker, state trail passes, and camping fees. There are waivers for school groups, disabled veterans and former POWs, etc. Please check with the State Park for questions: http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/name/buckhorn/
  • Hunting and fishing licenses apply: Purchasing your license is easy!

Welcome to WordPress.com! We are a big family that believes in learning, having fun, and sharing with our family. We tend to vacation in groups and find the simplest things in life as the most memorable and fun! We swim (beach, lake, pool), fish, hike, bike, take walks in the nature trail, sing along (karaoke, piano, guitar), board games, video games, and most of all play cards. At the moment, we are into playing RISK board games and compete conquering the world. Last week, it was Texas hold ’em poker game where we played until players started falling asleep on the table…The week before, it was vacationing with family to swim and hike.  We want to extend this same vacationing at home feeling by owner your own property to build a north woods log cabin or a magnificent home in the style that suits you and your family…please email for any questions: Lakeandbeachhome@gmail.com
