Buckhorn State Park
Welcome!
- The park is open year-round from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Concessions and rental equipment:
- Canoe and kayak rentals are available in season from the Friends of Buckhorn State Park. Contact the park office for more information.
Activities and Recreation:
- The 1600-acre Buckhorn Wildlife Area and the 2,200-acre Yellow River Wildlife Area next to Buckhorn State Park offers many additional recreation opportunities, including different hunting seasons and access to the Castle Rock Flowage.
- Hiking, Camping, Pets allowed on a leash with restrictions (see website), Picnic Areas, Swimming, Boating, Fishing, Hunting, Canoeing, Kayaking, and Winter activities (see website for canoe trails, hunting maps, ice fishing, etc.)

- Hunting classes
- Reservable shelters
Fees
- Vehicle admission sticker is required: include admission sticker, state trail passes, and camping fees. There are waivers for school groups, disabled veterans and former POWs, etc. Please check with the State Park for questions: http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/name/buckhorn/
